Chula Vista is one of the fastest-changing cities in the county. The Chula Vista Bayfront has grown around the marina and the new resort and convention center, bringing new railings, lighting, site furniture and gates, all within reach of bay air. Older neighborhoods west of I-805 in 91910 and 91911 have decades-old wrought iron that is overdue for a strip and recoat.

East of the freeway, Otay Ranch and Eastlake (91913, 91914 and 91915) are master-planned communities with HOA standards for fence and gate colors. Many of those HOAs are hitting the age where the original finishes are failing all at once.

Near the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center and the amphitheater, and down into Otay Mesa and National City, contractors and fabricators send us commercial and industrial parts too.

The heat in the eastern part of the city is harder on finishes than most people expect. Summer temperatures in Otay Ranch and Eastlake run well above the coast, and UV breaks down painted gates and fences fast. A cured powder coat holds its color and gloss much longer in that sun.

Distance is the main reason South Bay customers put off refinishing metal. Nobody wants to load a 14-foot gate into a pickup and drive it up I-805. That is why pickup and delivery is the core of our Chula Vista service.

You send photos and rough dimensions. We quote the job and schedule a pickup. At the shop, each piece is sandblasted to bare metal, coated electrostatically so the powder reaches every weld and edge, and oven-cured into one hard layer. Then we bring it back, ready to rehang. HOAs can schedule in phases so no street is left without a gate.

Older homes west of I-805 often have wrought-iron security doors, window guards and stair rails with a dozen coats of paint on them. Sandblasting takes all of that off at once and shows us any sections that need repair before coating. The finished pieces look like new iron, not like another coat of paint.
